Our Encourage Volunteer Holiday to Thailand is all about giving you the opportunity to dip your toe in the water and try volunteering abroad.

Your Holiday Experience Your holiday experience begins in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital. Absorb the buzz of this busy city by taking a tuk tuk city tour. Explore Bangkok’s small canals from the comfort of a long boat. Experience the bustle of Bangkok’s local markets and grab yourself a bargain! Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, embark on a city tour. Then travel overland to Chiang Mai, visiting hill tribe villages along the way.

Your Volunteer Experience As part of your volunteer experience, you will get to meet and work with our charity partners in Thailand. Our volunteer partners in Bangkok assist orphans, street children, and children with HIV/AIDS. We get to take children from one local orphanage to the Bangkok Zoo (a rare and exciting outing for them!). Our partner in Chiang Rai works closely with communities impacted by HIV/AIDS, we will be delivering much needed clothing and other supplies to them. We will also spend 3 days participating in volunteer activities (ranging from practical duties such as maintenance and cleaning, to children’s activities and games). Whilst in Chiang Rai we will travel to the picturesque Mae Taeng Valley and visit rescued elephants at the Elephant Nature Park. Hear about their stories and help with bathing and feeding time.
