Join us on our 11 day Relief Volunteer Holiday to Cambodia, departing 19 January 2012. This trip is a tailored program suitable for community, church and special groups.
Cambodia is a fascinating country with a history both inspiring and sobering, an intoxicating place where the future is waiting to be shaped.
Your holiday experience begins by visiting some of Cambodia's top destinations. Encounter the world's largest religious building, Angkor Wat. Visit the floating village of Kampong Khleang and watch the bustling fishermen. Visit the Angkor Silk Farm and artisans and learn all about silk production.
As part of your volunteer experience, meet with villagers and learn about local living. You will then help to build a house for the poor and disabled (mostly landmine victims). Other volunteer activities will vary from trip to trip, but may include visiting the local school, teaching English and donating school and study materials to the students. Volunteers may also get to assist in farming projects, such as sowing seeds and feeding the farm animals.
A more detailed itinerary is available upon application.
